In February, prices fell by 8.5%. In January they were stable. In December, prices increased by 19.2%. This was the most noticeable jump in prices for 2015. Before that, in November building materials even appreciably fell in price - by 8.6%. In October, on average, prices in Baku decreased by 0.5%. The changes before that were: in September (-0.027%), in August (-1.75%), in July (+ 0.32%), in June (-0.27%), in May (+ 0.45%), and in April (-0.1%).
The data show the continuation of stagnation in the building materials market with a downward trend, which is not typical for this period of the year, characterized usually by the activation of individual construction. One explanation of this is the low solvency of the population caused by the crisis.
In general, prices can begin to grow only if any government projects in the field of construction or incentive measures are launched in the form of concessional lending for construction.
